Honestly, Dalhart is a place you stop on your way to someplace else. That said, the La Quinta is the best hotel/motel we've ever stayed at in Dalhart. We were coming from Aspen, CO. on our way back to the DFW area where we live - a trip we take every couple of years. We've tried several places in Dalhart, Dumas, and Amarillo and this La Quinta is the only one I'd book a second time. We were in a room on the 1st floor, close to the pool and the ice machine, and we didn't hear a sound during the night, and we went to bed pretty early. Good towels, comfy bed, clean room, decent breakfast buffet, quiet AC, good water pressure, plenty of hot water - friendly, helpful staff. We have no complaints at all.

Comfortable clean beds and cute little towel sculpture settin% on the bed when I walked in. And a little card with the name of who cleaned the room :) Bed was just comfortable. They have a pool and an exercise room. You can even buy products at the desk like toothbrush combs and other shower stuff. Cold drinks also and not the vending machine which makes alot of noise when u use them. Breakfast was really good. The sausage was good quality sausage not the cheap tasting stuff like other places. I like this hotel and next time I am in dalhart I will be using this hotel again!!

Property had recently been remodeled and was clean and attractive. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable as was the bed which is very important to me. They have electric check in and you can even pick your own room using a provided floor plan. Then you can use a digital room key on your phone. Breakfast area was clean and inviting with better-than-average food (scambled eggs with bacon and biscuits.) I would definitely stay here again. (Note: we couldnt find a breakfast restaurant in town so the food at the hotel was welcomed.).

The room was clean, big and cheery! The staff was very helpful and kind. I didn't have breakfast, but it looked delish! They also have a nice area for dogs, which they welcomed for an additional cost, which was the most reasonable that I have found! There was an adorable ghost on my bed too!

Breakfast is OK. The eggs were terrible. The sausage was good. There was no hot oatmeal the waffles stuck in the pans and the muffins and bread Were on the stale side the staff was very good in the breakfast area. She was right on top of things, keeping things loaded and cleaned up.
