La Quinta by Wyndham Dalhart

Property had recently been remodeled and was clean and attractive. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable as was the bed which is very important to me. They have electric check in and you can even pick your own room using a provided floor plan. Then you can use a digital room key on your phone. Breakfast area was clean and inviting with better-than-average food (scambled eggs with bacon and biscuits.) I would definitely stay here again. (Note: we couldnt find a breakfast restaurant in town so the food at the hotel was welcomed.).

The friendliness and courteousness of the staff were great. The rooms were very clean. The dining area and the idea of having an afternoon snack bar for travelers is awesome. Most people don't want to run and find food right away. The location is good. There is a restaurant located across the street. If not your taste in food, you can find other places to eat not far from the hotel.

Honestly, Dalhart is a place you stop on your way to someplace else. That said, the La Quinta is the best hotel/motel we've ever stayed at in Dalhart. We were coming from Aspen, CO. on our way back to the DFW area where we live - a trip we take every couple of years. We've tried several places in Dalhart, Dumas, and Amarillo and this La Quinta is the only one I'd book a second time. We were in a room on the 1st floor, close to the pool and the ice machine, and we didn't hear a sound during the night, and we went to bed pretty early. Good towels, comfy bed, clean room, decent breakfast buffet, quiet AC, good water pressure, plenty of hot water - friendly, helpful staff. We have no complaints at all.

Hotel in the process of being remodeled. Overall hotel very clean. I had a recently redone room. Everything in room worked well. Very pleased with the room. Front desk lady was very nice n helpful. Breakfast was good. Very clean eating area with TV.
